cmacchelseaKayaking amongst blue icebergs - perfect!
Spectacular paddling in a quiet glacier lagoon, just two guides and about ten customers. They fully equip you in dry suits, boots, gloves and kayaks. The guides were wonderful and gave great explanations about what we saw around us. A highlight was watching them hop out of their kayaks to push these massive icebergs a little out of the way when the channels were just a bit too narrow for the kayaks. We left at 13:30 and returned around 18:00. Perfect activity for our family of 4 (two kids, 15 and 12)
PHguideMy favorite activity in Iceland!!
The two guys who took us kayaking in the glacier lagoon were wonderful – kind, careful, fun, and so passionate about what they do. Oh, and they told great stories. I am a guide so I know a good guide when I see one. And what could be more awe-inspiring and gorgeous than kayaking amongst icebergs and getting out to walk on the ice. Superb! No one can believe my pictures.

We went kayaking with Pryndis (spelling?? – sorry!) and she was WONDERFUL! She had great information to share about herself, the environment, the glaciers and of course all our seal companions. We had such a great time. The equipment was great – sit atop kayaks which were so easy to maneuver. Can not recommend this enough.
