OUTDOOR ADVENTURE FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
A guided kayaking tour is ideal for families and friends of all ages. This is a great way for everyone to enjoy the extraordinary landscape of Iceland, get active, and have lots of fun. This experience will create memories that last a lifetime.
The tour starts from our meeting point at Hali where everyone gets appropriately dressed. Included in this kayak tour are life-jackets that fit everyone from age 6 to “really big”, fun family-friendly instruction and all the paddling gear you need.
From there we walk about 10 minutes to get to the water where the tour starts. It is called Breiðarbólstaðarlón.
On our tour, we see the wildlife of the area around Hali. The Arctic tern, The Great Skua, Gray Goose to name a few. If we are lucky, we might even see seals and whales. You might go fishing with a fishing rod in the lagoon, play on the beach and take beautiful pictures of the largest mountain of Iceland, Öræfajökull.
The tour takes about 2.5-3 hours, 2 hours of that are spent on the water kayaking. We use so-called “sit-on-top” kayaks which are really safe. Our number one priority is people’s safety
Vacationing in Iceland can be challenging for families and friends, to find activities that all members can enjoy. A guided kayak tour can be a great way to explore the outdoors of Iceland, even if you have children of different ages. Everyone can enjoy the excitement and beauty of this adventure.
