You cannot ask for a better view than the Fosshotel Vatnajokull has to offer. In striking winds, in sunshine, at sunset, or daylight, everywhere you look the view will take your breath away. Well worth a visit. We were lucky to have clear nights and saw an amazing display of the Northern Lights. The sky danced for us.
On a side note, the breakfast is fantastic!

Shelley JRegional Flavours, Great ServiceWe ate at the restaurant while staying in the hotel, mainly because we were too lazy to go anywhere else. It was a good choice. The happy (2) hour in the bar led to a lovely meal with excellent service. Pricey, but it all is in Iceland.
Alexia ENice twist on Icelandic traditional foodWe came hungry and hoping to get some beef or other similar meet. We ended up having 3 starters (monk fish wash amazing) 2 main courses and 2 desserts (Recommend the Icelandic pancake)
everything was very fresh, well prepared and the waiter made sure everything was as it should be. And even the head chef came do us for a short chat. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for meat, vegetarian and fish lovers !
