Hoffell is about 19 km west of Höfn and about 3 km from Road 1. The location is surrounded by magnificent nature at the roots of Vatnajökull. Geothermal hot pools are available for residents of the guesthouse, free of charge. The guesthouse consists of two recently renovated houses with made up beds for up to 30 guests.

The northern lights can be seen from August till May as they dance over Hoffellsjökull.
