The land of fire and ice caves

The region of ice caves

The “land of ice and fire” is what most people are referring to as Iceland these days, and for a good reason! With the latest volcanic eruption in the Reykjanes peninsula, the island is a steaming hot spot in the world news. So, let’s cool down and get back to the glaciers. Many of the tourist who visit Iceland at wintertime are interested in the island deep and mystical ice caves, and I am not surprised. You can visit them during the winter season in Europe’s largest glacier without even having to hike up to high altitude. Here in the Vatnajökull region is easy to book a tour with a local tour operator to go on an adventurous tour to the most beautiful places of the glacier. And what is unique about them? They are different each year! Now as this winter season is coming to an end, I would like to share with you some spectacular photos of the ice caves that I have visited or discovered during this season. I hope you will enjoy the show! ⬇️?
